Cruise between the islands of the Small Cyclades with departure from Santorini and landing in Paros.
The islands that we will visit (Ios, Schinoussa, Amorgos, Koufonissia, AntiParos, Paros) are among the most beautiful in the Mediterranean both for the landscapes and for the typical villages.
We will spend some evening in the Greek taverns to taste the typical dishes. There will be night stops in desert shaves to admire the starry sky in all its splendor.
The staff wil take care of the meals, with high quality dishes.
Embarking in the late afternoon in Santorini, in front of Akrotiri beach, welcome drink and accommodation in your cabins.
We will cross the caldera of Santorini, from south to north, then we will face a short but intense sailing upwind to reach Ios.
Ios is an island with two faces: festive and fashionable the northern part with Chora, mountainous and wild in the south. We drop anchor in a bay in the south of the island. Lunch and relaxing afternoon in the bay.
Today we face a short but intense sailing north in a channel usually quite windy. We're headed to Schinoussa, one of the pearls of the Small Cyclades.
Schinoussa is a small island, where agricultural activities are still predominant and where tourism is still underdeveloped. The streets are not paved and Chora consists of a few dozen houses along the main road. We anchor in the bay of Livadi and after lunch we will spend a relaxing afternoon. In the late afternoon we'll walk up to Chora, then dinner at Maria restaurant, a little place with outdoor tables, that makes a very special Greek traditional cuisine.
We'll leave Schinoussa to reach Amorgos; a long and quite thrilling navigation awaits.
Amorgos is an arid and wild island, surrounded by a blue sea contrasting the landscape. We'll anchor in the large bay of Katakopula. Lunch in the bay and in the afternoon visit to Hozoviotissa monastery, located in the rocks 300 meters on sea level, on the southern coast of the island. It is recommended to rent a scooter, then it will be necessary to climb the almost 100 steps, but the effort will be awarded by a breath-taking panorama and the warm welcome of the monks that usually offer a glass of rakomelo and sweets made of sugar and fruit.
10 miles of intense hauled large to reach AntiKeros, two uninhabited islands separated by a narrow channel which forms a wonderful anchor for a perfect stop for swimming and lunch. Then another short sail upwind to reach Kofounissi.
Mundane evening in Koufonissi.
We'll have a beautiful and intense sailing in one of the Aegean windy areas, the channel between Naxos and Paros; the first part of the navigation will be with the wind on a reach and then you will go to a going upwind.
We'll get to Anti-Paros in the early afternoon and we will anchor in the big bay of Despotiko.
Dinner onboard
In the morning we will visit the archaeological site that is located on the island of Despotiko. Here you can find the remains of an ancient temple of Apollo, situated on a plateau with a breathtaking view of the Aegean sea.
Then a short, but often very intense navigation will lead us to Pandieronisia, a small island located in the channel between Paros and Anti-Paros. In the afternoon we'll have time to relax and then reach Paroikia in Paros.
Dinner at a Greek pub that serves amazing fish dishes.
