Koufonisia

Koufonisia is a former community in the Cyclades, it is composed by three main island: Kato Koufonisi, Pano Koufonisi and Keros, a deserted archaeological site with many ancient Cycladic art pieces.

Koufonisia offers a beautiful maritime landscape, with its golden sand beaches and turquoise water attract lot of tourists, as well as sailors. On Pano Koufonisi the best beaches are: Finikas, set on the east of Chora, Thanos Beach, the perfect beach where practicing water sports and Pori Beach, a small cave beaches, near the famous "Devil's Eye", a small suggestive cave.

Not-to-missing places on the island are the central and the back port, here you can find fishermen in their small boats; the church of St George, St Nicholas and the Prophet Elijah’s Church, each has traces of early Byzantine period. The villages in the inland are designed by typical greek houses, with white walls and blue windows and doors, and small picturesque alleys.

It is the perfect place to relax and admire the untouchable landscapes.
