Discover the natural and marine beauty of the Mediterranean Sea with this cruise in Sardinia, on board of comfortable Nur Dehler 38. You'll depart from the port of Isola Rossa and then sail on to Lavezzi, Cavallo, Budelli, Cala Santa Maria and Caprera, before disembarking again in Isola Rossa.
During your cruise you'll certainly be fascinated in front of Maddalena archipelago, a geomarine protected area, consisting of a vast group of islands north east of Gallura coast, in the stretch of sea between Sardinia and Corsica which is known as Mouths of Bonifacio. Except Maddalena, these islands host a town with the same name, densely populated, totally uninhabited or with little sparse villages, such as on Caprera and Santa Maria islands.
The boundaries of the park include all the islands and islets belonging to La Maddalena township, along with the surrounding marine areas. The archipelago boasts environments and species which seem to have met here to set up a unique performance.
Between Corsica and Sardinia lies Lavezzi island, nowadays belonging to the Natural Reserve of the Mouths of Bonifacio. The island is famous for its flora and fauna, both on land and in the sea, which is really unique and peculiar. Once on the island, you can stop and relax in the first beaches you come across, near the mooring point, or you can follow the indicated tracks (do not leave the paths!) to discover coves, evocative landscapes and havens of the rest of the island.
Lavezzi is also the paradise of scuba divers, who can admire almost unspoilt sea bottoms: being a protected natural reserve, here life in the sea bottoms is rich and varied. You can find the dusky groupers, gathering in a special shoal called Mérouville (the city of groupers). (Cruises might be subject to slight variations depending on weather conditions).
