Seychelles

The Seychelles is an archipelago of 115 tropical islands located in the Indian Ocean between the 4 ° and the 100 ° parallel south of the Equator. It is located north-east of Madagascar, 1,500 kms off the coast of East Africa.

The Creole population that inhabits the Seychelles Islands is the result of a heterogeneous mixture of different peoples: from Africans to Arabs, from Europeans to Orientals. In addition to Creole, the official language, English and French are widely spoken. This is the result of years of disputes between the two countries, ended with the independence of Seychelles in 1976.

Considered among the most beautiful islands of the Indian Ocean and of the world, they are a true tropical paradise that offer the opportunity to live an extraordinary and unique experience. The flora and fauna, the culture, attractions and unique resorts make these islands one of the most fascinating and sought-after destinations of the world.

The climate is pleasant throughout the year. It is tropical, with a temperature that changes continuously between 24 ° and 33 ° degrees. Humidity is quite high with conditions that change depending on the island but generally there are two main seasons according to trade winds: between October and March they blow from the north-west and the sea is generally calm, between May and September they blow from the south-east and the sea is slightly rough.

This heavenly place is suited to the most demanding travelers and it boasts outstanding facilities perfect for doing everything or just relaxing enjoying multiple experiences. Discover the fascinating marine world, taste the delicious Creole dishes, visit different islands walking along the pristine beaches or in the lush nature discovering animals, curious birds and unusual plants. One of them is called Cocodemer. It is originated from the unique Coco de Mer Palm, symbol of the Seychelles and visible at its natural state only in the Vallee de Mai, placed in the island of Praslin and Curieuse island. It is the largest seed of the world, up to half a meter long, it can weigh up to 20 kg. Its particularity is to have an amazing resemblance to the anatomy of the woman's pelvis.

The main islands, which offer the widest choice of accommodation and also the most popular, are Mahé, Praslin and La Digue.

Mahé is the main island of the archipelago. In Mahè you will find the picturesque Victoria which is the smallest capital city in the world, and the international airport.

Praslin is the second-largest island of the archipelago and it hosts the Vallee de Mai, a UNESCO World Heritage Site. It is considered a real paradise for nature lovers. It boasts some of the most beautiful beaches of the Seychelles such as Anse Lazio and Anse Georgette, which have been included among the 10 most beautiful beaches in the world.

La Digue is known worldwide for the rock formations of granite rocks that dot the surrounding beautiful white sandy beaches.

These are the main islands but also those "minor" in size are not different in terms of beauty, peace, tranquility and quality, each with its own morphological characteristics, nature and tourism.

We suggest you choose which island to visit according to your needs and the available time, bearing in mind that to fully admire the many beaches and coves you must travel from island to island on a small plane or fast ferry. These means of transport allow you to enjoy spectacular views of the islands and of the vast Indian Ocean, characterized by charming colors.
