PraslinSeychelles Praslin Island

Praslin

Seychelles

Praslin is the second-largest island of the Seychelles. Its name comes from that of the Duke of Praslin, French Minister of Defence that in 1768 put what is called the stone of possession. The Anse Possession's name cames from it.

The island is called by many the "Garden of Eden", thanks to the presence of the beautiful and unique Vallee de Mai, a World Heritage site declared by UNESCO. Here grow up unique species of tropical flora and in particular, the famous Coco de Mer, an exotic fruit famous worldwide.

Another attraction of this heavenly island are the beaches, some of which are into the list of the ten most beautiful beaches in the world, such as Anse Lazio and Anse Georgette.
