Cruise on the Saronic islands departing from Port Heli and landing at Lavrio which is approximately 45 minutes from Athens International Airport.
The islands that we will visit (Spetze, Hydra, Poros, Aegina, Cape Sunion) are very characteristic both for the landscapes and for the typical villages.
We will spend a few nights in the characteristic Greek taverns to taste the typical dishes. There will be night stops in desert shaves to admire the starry sky in all its beauty.
Navigation always takes place close to the coast and the cruise is also suitable for those with no experience.
Meals will be cooked by the onboard staff, with healthy and high-quality dishes.
Boarding in the late afternoon in Port Heli (you can reach it with a ferry from Piraeus), welcome drink and accomodation in your personal cabin.
We'll circumnavigate the island of Spetse, stopping for lunch in a remote bay of the south-western coast.
In the afternoon we'll transfer to the main port of Spetse island: its name derives from the italian "spezie" (or spices), given by the Venetians, when it used to be an important stop along the spice route.
Nowadays the main characteristic of the village is that private car traffic is not allowed, so you can only travel by foot, by horse carriage or by bike.
An easy sailing will bring us to the deep bay at the center of the island of Dhokos, where we'll stop for lunch.
In the afternoon we'll reach the small port of Ydra. In Ydra vehicles are not allowed to transit, so the only way to travel is by foot of with the help of donkeys. Its main attraction are the beautiful village center's houses, built in the 1800s when the island was home to a very rich community of shipowners.
Nowadays it's the favourite holiday place of Athenian intellectuals, whom built many houses in the higher part of the city.
During the day we'll sail back to the coast and we'll stop for lunch sheltered among three small islands that mark the eastern cape of Peloponnese.
In the early afternoon transfer to Poros, an island located in the middle of the Saronic gulf, with a marvellous and lively village perched on a hill.
During the morning we'll sail to reach Palaia Epidaurus.
We'll anchor in the small port of Palaia Epidaurus and in the afternoon we'll visit the wonderful Epidaurus Theater.
It's the best preserved Greek theater with an acoustic hard to describe. It's so powerful that even if you drop a coin in the center of the stage, you can perfectly hear the sound it makes on the highest bleachers, at a hundred meters of distance.
We'll sail to Aegina where we'll anchor in the small port of Agia Marina.
In the afternoon we'll reach the famous Temple of Afaia by bus, a Greek temple well preserved and a spectacular architectonic building.
During the morning we'll move to the southern coast of Attika with a nice sailing transfer.
At lunch we'll stop by the Temple of Poseidon in Cape Sounion, a place you can visit with a medium-difficult walk.
In the late afternoon we'll transfer to Lavrio.
Breakfast and disembarkation.
