France

France belongs to the European Union and includes some overseas regions and territories located in the African and American continents and in Oceania, such as Guadeloupe, Martinique, French Guyana, Réunion and Mayotte.

France is a country of prime importance worldwide for its politics, economy, the military system and culture. Moreover, it boasts several natural beauties, from great plains, to high mountain ranges up to coastal areas on the Mediterranean Sea and Atlantic Ocean.

The places of historical, cultural and architectural interest combined with the elements described above make France one of the most visited countries in the world. Indeed, tourism is one of the main sectors of its economy. The metropolitan cities also attract a large number of visitors every year. Many French cities inspire admiration and amazement, such as Paris, Lyon and Mont Saint-Michel, as well as the several unmissable symbols of this country. It is not possible to miss a tour on the Eiffel Tower to enjoy the view of the capital city from above, or a visit to Louvre Museum, to admire amazing masterworks, including Leonardo da Vinci's Mona Lisa, or a stroll into the wide park of Versailles or even a cocktail on the Seine at sunset.

Flagship of France is also its exquisite and renowned cuisine. Its sweets and its creams are worldwide famous, for example bignè, mille-feuille pastry, macaron, eclair, crème brûlée, mousse au chocolat, crêpes or Café liégeois.
