Atlantic Ocean is the second widest ocean on the Earth. It covers a "S" shape basin and laps at some coasts of America, Europa and Africa.
Its bottom is characterized by a submarine mountain range, called Mid-Atlantic Ridge. Sometimes it is visible above the sea level, in fact, sometimes, its peaks form some islands, as Azores. Atlantic Ocean also hosts many icebergs, especially in the Davis Strait, between Greenland and Baffin Island, and in the Denmark Strait.
The weather of the Atlantic and the near countries is temperate and does not present extreme seasonal variations, thanks to ocean's great capacity to store heat; while in the middle part of the Ocean the precipitations are copious because of the evaporation of the water.
Atlantic Ocean is a relevant economic source for the countries close to it. Indeed, it hosts the main trade routes, but also oilfields and also boasts richest fishing resources.
