Hydra
Hydra is one of the Saronic Islands of Greece, it is located in the Aegean Sea.
Although its name, the landscape is quite dry and rocky characterized by hillsides and craggy coast. The vegetation shows pine forested, cypress and olive trees and many types of wild flowers, as poppies and cyclamen.
The villages are typical and characteristic with its small houses, with white plaster walls and coloured doors framed, decorated with bougainvillea or plumbago.
The emerald green sea and the beautiful beaches, as Avlaki Bay, a small pebble beach; Vlichos Beach, sandy and pebble beach; Bisti Bay, a white pebble beach are the main attractions on the island.
A not-to-miss place is the Historical Archives Museum that exhibits costumes, old artefacts and gravures from the War of Independence.
Enjoy the dinner in one of the typical restaurants on the sea and then the night sky view: due to the light pollution there are not artificial lights, it is a real amazing panorama.
