Serifos

Serifos is a greek island located in the Aegean Sea. Serifos plays a big role in the greek mythology, in fact it is the location of some important myths, as the one related to Perseas and Danae and the one of Ulysses.

The island is characterized by dry and rocky hills and beautiful beaches.

Although it is a small island, Serifos has so many beaches suitable for every necessity. The sandy Psili Ammos is one of the most famous and wonderful beach, it was voted as the best beach in Europe in 2004 and 2009, it looks like an exotic beach. Agios Sostis Beach is another suggestive place, here on one site there is a sandy coast, on the other a pebbly beach bay.

Not-to-miss places are the monks’ Castle-Monastery of Taxiarhes, it is a monastery built during the Venetian domination, Panagia, an historical Byzantine settlement and Livadi, the port of the island, the most tourist place. It is rich in bars, restaurants, taverns and stores.

Serifos is the perfect place where relax, here nothing goes in a hurry.
