Paros

Paros belongs to Cyclades island group, it is located near Antiparos, both islands once were connected. Paros is the 4th bigger island in Cyclades group.

It is a beautiful island with amazing beaches and crystal clear sea, green wide valleys and high cliffs. Paros is well known also for its white marble, that is still produced on the island.

It is a perfect destination for the people that want to enjoy the natural beauties and discover the traditional little villages. In Paros you could walk around the several alleys decorate with many bougainvillea and admire the typical white and bright houses: an holiday in Paros is the ideal vacation for who wants to breathe the real essence of the islands located in the Mediterranean sea.

This island has a very long history, its proofs are still present. A worth-seeing stop is the archaeological museum in Paroikia, where there are 7° century a.C. statues and mosaics. Always in Paroikia a not-to-miss place are the Venetian Castle, nearby there is a beautiful district with nice and picturesque little houses, the  church of Panagia Katopiliani, the church of Agios Costantinos, the church of Aghia Anna and many others. Paroikia is the main harbour on the island, it is loved by tourist due to its several bar, nice restaurants, suggestive courtyards with fruit trees and the tangled alleys where walk.

The most beautiful beaches where relax are Krios and Gios Fokas. Valley of the Butterflies is located 7km far from Parikia. It is a natural amazing area, from May to August thousands colourful butterflies are attracted by its trees. In the North, a worth seeing stop is the beautiful Naoussa, with its particular alleys, the little harbour, the ruins of a XIV century Castle and its golden sand. In the South part of the island, you will find the fishermen's village Aliki, surrounded by golden beaches. But may be the most admired area is the one located in South-East, because it has many sights: the fishermen villages of Marpissa, Pisso, Drios, Logaras, Livadi, the beaches of Chrisi Atki and Nea Chrisi Arki, where in August take place the famous Windsurf World Cup. In the East part are located the villages of  Kephalos: Tragoulas, Marmora and Kepidi, that conserve many archaeological evidences.
