Naples is the capital city of the region Campania in the south of Italy. It facing the Tyrrhenian Sea.

Some greek proofs, belonging to the second millennium BC, have demonstrated that the city is one of the oldest continuously inhabited cities.

Naples is a beautiful city, with an important history, wonderful architectural sights and numerous traditions. The city centre of Naples is part of the UNESCO World Heritage Site; it is the largest city centre in Europe.

During your visit in Naples you have to stroll in Piazza del Plebiscito, the main square of the city, full of wonderful buildings. In the east side of the square is set the Royal Palace, it was one of the Bourbon Kings' residence, on the west is located the church of San Francesco di Paola, built in the early 19th century, it presents a neoclassical style. Close to the square is situated the Teatro di San Carlo, the oldest opera house in Italy, and the Galleria Umberto I, a big shopping mall.

Naples hosts many museums, some of the most interesting are: the Naples National Archaeological Museum, where you can find many high-quality roman artefacts and a large collection of marble sculptures, and the Museo di Capodimonte, that shows a wide painting collection.

Of course, Naples also provides beautiful beaches and a crystal clear sea. Some of the most beautiful beaches are: Gaiolas beach, it is set in the underwater Archaeology Park of Gaiola, a protected maritime area. Gaiolas beach is one of the most suggestive and untouched place in Naples. Here it is usual to practice snorkelling or scuba diving. Bagno Elena, the first  beach resort in Naples, it presents fine golden sand and a emerald green sea.
