Jeanneau Sun Fizz is a well designed boat, with two stern cabins comparable to those of an IMS, a bow cabin that we can define as shipping, a separate bathroom and another one along the stern cabins to the right. It has 11 berths. Designed by the pen of Philippe Briand in the late Sixties, Sun Fizz is a good example of the good old French shipbuilding, the right compromise between cheap and robust. At the time boats had to be cheap just as nowadays, but they also had to be boats, meaning objects that could navigate and last in time: this is why Sun Fizz doesn't have structural countermoulds. Its longerons and floor-plates are solidly layered on the hull, the layering shows a good match of raisin and matting and the deck in balsa sandwich avoids a good deal of weight in the upper part, making it more stable and rapid. It was first built as a classical quick cruise boat without any aspiration for regattas, but now Sun Fizz is available in several types: sloop, ketch, fixed keel, swing keel. It's a safe and trustworthy sailboat.
