Martinique

The island of Martinique is on overseas French department, belonging to the archipelago of the Small Antilles. Its coastline is bordered by the Atlantic Ocean on the East side and by the Caribbean Sea on the West side.

The temperatures are always within 25° and 30° C, offering a perfect climate. The island has much to see. From naturalistic point of view, the inside roads and their luxurious vegetation deserve to be visited. The most famous beaches are located in the southern and eastern side of the island, like the beach of the Salines, the bay Trabaut, the bay Michel and the small island of the Chevalier. The northern part of the Martinique is much wilder, but nevertheless, it offer wonderful beaches in particular the beach of Macabou.

The sea-bottom all around the island are of in unbelievable beauty and the colorful reefs hosts plenty of species of marine life, a paradise for snorkelers. The lovers of diving cannot miss the grounds around Pointe Fulla, also called “Les Fonds Blancs” (the white sea-bottoms), where the trasparense of the sea is incredible. The Martinique offers also plenty of facilities for other aquatic sports such as kitesurf, windsurf and kayak.

The main town of the island is its capital, Fort de France, a really beautify city with elegant buildings, parks, museums and its Floral Park with a local market for purchase of local delicacies.
