Guadeloupe consists in two islands divided by a natural narrow sea channel, called Salt River. The westernmost island is called Basse-Terre, it boasts more mountains and is covered by tropical rainforests and banana trees. Moreover, unmissable is also the Parc National de la Guadeloupe, a large forestal reserve which hosts a big part of local vegetation. Or the climb to the peak of the volcano La Soufrière, 1467 meters high.

The economy of Guadeloupe is mainly based on tourism. The island attracts many tourists from the entire world very year. Its flagships are the natural beauties and the amazing landscapes, but do not miss the artistic and cultural points of interest, such as Pointe-à-Pitre, the economic hub, which still preserves colonial architectures dating back to the 19th century, or the original Rhum Museum, and the market of spices and handicrafts in the pictoresque Place de la Victoire.
