Zakynthos

Zakynthos is a greek island located in the Ionian Sea. It is known also with the nickname "The flower of the East", thanks to its lush landscape. The name was given by the Venetians during their domination.

Its landscape is heterogeneous but rich in orchards, in fact the countryside is characterized by olives trees, currants, grapevine and citrus grove. The west part is mountainous and the coasts are characterized by sharply sloped cliffs, while the east part, is the most populated, and present a plain with sandy beaches.

Some of the main beaches on the island are: Tsilivi, a white sand beach with crystal clear water; Alykanas Beach, a golden sand beach surrounded by mountains and Kalamaki, an uncontaminated beach.

Zakynthos is the perfect destination for those wanting to relax and enjoy the water sports. In fact, on the island you will be able to practice whatever you would like, from snorkelling to sailing.
