Carlo Lai

Carlo was born in 1960 and raised in Quartu Sant'Elena, in Sardinia, 1 km from the sea. At 5 he got his first diving mask, his first sailing experience was windsurf, then he moved on to drop keels and small cabin cruisers. In 1996 he became professional skipper with official qualifications.

He has a long experience in nautical charters that he has acquired while working with many companies of the field and on his own. Furthermore, he has had the chance to sail all around the Mediterranean Sea (by transfers, charters and for his own pleasure) and in the Atlantic Ocean, from the Uk and France to Italy; he also boasts 8 classic ocean crossings to the Caribbeans and Brazil, round trip.

He has a deep knowledge of all Sardinia and south Corsica, as well as of the Lesser Antilles, the Caribbeans and all the Mediterranean Sea.

He is now a member of Compagnia degli Skipper Oceanici.
