Cayman Islands

The archipelago of Cayman Islands includes three islands called Grand Cayman, Little Cayman and Cayman Brac. They are a British Overseas Territory located in the Sea of the Antilles.

Their territory is mainly characterized by plains and the absence of freshwater rivers. The beaches are worldwide known thanks to their amazing beauty. Moreover, they are lapped by an extraordinary crystal-clear sea. The lovers of scuba diving will here find their paradise, due to the richness of the seabeds. In fact, they boasts colourful tropical fauna and flora. Among the most popular beaches you'll find Seven Mile Beach, the beaches located on the northern coast of Grand Cayman and the beaches situated to the south-westernmost coast of Cayman Brac.

These islands have a tropical climate, which is divided into two main seasons. In fact, although the weather is characterized by high average temperatures during the whole year, it is possible to distinguish a rainy season, from April to November, and a dry season, during the other months. In addition, Cayman Islands can be subject to the presence of tropical storms during the months of August and October. Therefore, the best period to visit the islands is from November to April, when the rains are not abundant and the heat is acceptable.

Cayman Islands are the perfect destination for those who want to relax lying down under the shadow of a palm on a Caribbean beach or drinking a cocktail while the burning sun is going down beyond the horizon. Anyway, these islands also provide the chance to discover amazing and evocative natural environments, thanks to their rich local fauna and flora; unmissable is the Queen Elizabeth II Botanic Park.
