Are you ready for a fabulous New Year in the Caribbean? This sailing cruise, on board of Oceanis 48, departing December 27 and returning January 6, will start from Martinique, where you'll buy supplies, adapt to tropical temperatures and set sail for a splendid night navigation towards charming Grenadines islands.
Plankton and flying fish will accompany you to Sandy Island, a sandbar where you can try your hand at snorkeling and explore the barrier reef. The following day the fleet will sail towards Petit St. Vincent, with lunch on Mophion sandbar. Night at anchor and candle light dinner under the stars and then it's on to the reefs of Tobago Cays, a natural pool 6 sqkm long, enclosed by three islets.
You'll say goodbye to 2015 on the boat with a grilled fish based dinner and a "floating" party: the midnight swim is a must, the water is 32 degrees! The first day of the year will be dedicated to relax and discovery of the barrier reef at Petit Tabac, with a night at anchor in nearby Mayreau, home to one of the most colorful villages of the archipelago, a gem of Creole culture where you can taste excellent local dishes in plenty of rhum.
After a few days in the coral reefs, you'll set sail towards Mustique, the most glamourous island of the Caribbean. After villas and lawns, you'll surely appreciate the colors of Bequia and the wild valleys of St. Vincent. Stop for breakfast and a swim on the black sand beaches where "Pirates of the Caribbean" was shot, surrounded by thick banana tree plantations and then you'll sail on to St. Vincent strait, famous for the transit of tuna and mahi-mahi. Finally, the cruise will end trolling at sunset till reaching the lagoon of Marigot Bay in St. Lucia. The last day will be dedicated to relax, swimming and sightseeing in the fascinating colonial ruins in Pigeon Island, night at anchor in St. Anne in Martinique before disembarkation on January 6 in the morning,
Jump on board, it will be the best New Year ever!
