Fregate Island

Fregate Island is a private island placed in the Seychelles and situated at 20-minute flight from Mahé. It has an area of only 2.19 km square.

The explorer Lazare Picault gave the name to this island that it was inhabited by at least fifty species of birds, including the Fregate.
After World War II, the island was purchased by Hatty Savy, who created a real agricultural plantation suitable for successful cultivation of fruits, vegetables and spices.

The seven uncontaminated beaches of thin white sand, lush vegetation and fauna, make this island a tropical paradise and a dreamy oasis.
