Saint Martin

Saint Martin is placed in the north-eastern part of the Caribbean  and belongs to the group of the Small Antilles. It is the smallest country of the world to be controlled by two different countries: the northern part belongs to France and the southern to Netherlands. It is why the two territories are known as Saint Martin and Sint Maarten.

The two main cities of the islands are Marigot (on the French side) and Philipsburg (on the Dutch side). The Dutch side is popular for its nighlife, the beaches, the casino, the duty-free jewelleries and the exotic rum drinks. The French side, on the other hand, is popular thanks to the shopping, the open-air markets, the nudist beaches and the french cooking.

The island boasts many hotel facilities and every type of accomodations. There are 37 easy reachable by car beaches, apart from the Pinel Island islet, which has to be reached by boat. The majority of them are white and gold sandy beaches. Turquoise waters with a fantastic undersea world full of corals and coves are one of the best attractions of the island and perfect for snorkeling and diving. Many tourists used to sail to Sain Martin, because it is considered one of the best destination for the sailing lovers.

Saint Martin is the perfect island for those who want to escape the chaos and the problems of the city and spending a peaceful vacation.
