Antigua

The island of Antigua is one of the Small Antilles belonging to the Antigua and Barbuda state. It was a Britain's colony and it boast 365 beaches, one for each day of the year. 

Crystal clear and full of life sea, white sandy beaches, a wide set of vegetation, such as the hubiscus, bamboo, coconut palm and orchids. In addition to these beautiful natural things, in Antigua, you can find also the ancient ruins of the Navy base of the Horatio Nelson admiral.

The main important things in Antigua are:

- the English Harbour, built at the end of '700 and now completely restored. Nowadays it can host every type of yachts and many sailing ships arrived in order to travel around the Caribbean.

- the Shirley Heights, an hill surrounding the harbour which host every year the famous festival of the Island.

- St. John, the capital of the island and of the whole state of Antigua and Barbuda. It boasts many duty free shops and represents the main anchoring of the cruising ship.
